How I Work

All sessions are based on your workplace situation, industry and needs.

​​​Materials could include:

  • Your company literature, brochures, documents presentations, emails (preferred materials)

  • Role play

  • Checklists

  • Videos

  • Video recordings (of your presentation or speaking activity) used for viewing and feedback

  • Case studies

  • Articles

  • Glossaries

  • My ebook The Culture Smart Professional

Needs analysis:

  • First session of 60 minutes (free) 

  • Discussion of your needs

  • Goal setting for each session

Sessions:

  • You receive an email 3-4 days before the session with a suggestion of what to prepare (could include reading, writing an email, presentation)

  • The session is divided into 3 parts: 10 minutes greeting and chatting, 40 minutes activity, 10 minutes feedback and goal measurement.

 

​​Post-session:

  • You receive an email with the written feedback,  goal measurement

  • Suggestion for remedial work which could be the preparation for the next session

  • ​​Feedback is ongoing. This defines if goals are being reached, what changes need to be made to reach the final goal.

How are goals and results measured?

  • Results are measured by behavioral change. For example, if you need to write culturally appropriate emails to a Japanese client, each session will study your email to see if it is culturally adapted to the Japanese culture. This change in behavior translates in your workplace by aligned performance.
